MEDIA RELEASE: September 18, 2007
Colorado stripped bare

La Junta Good Neighbor Forum - September 22, 2007 9 am-4:30 pm Otero Jr. College Student Center, La Junta, Colorado. main # 970-284-6874

What do you know about the U.S. Army uprooting the Indigenous of Pinon Canyon, Endangered Species stealing Private Property, hungry cities gulping Water Rights, National Animal Identification System using children, Federal trumping county and state rights, and a media reluctance to tell you about it?

Did you know Colorado is fast becoming America’s poster child for takings? Colorado is being stripped bare naked of its rights!

How long has it been since something meaningful was stolen from you?

Do you know of a neighbor who’s being crushed by cruel man-made action? Does this impact you? Will you be next? Are you prepared?

Elie Wiesel, in his acceptance of the Nobel Peace Prize for his book "Night," stated "we must take a side." Do you know which side to take?

This Saturday, The La Junta Good Neighbor Forum will generously and factually enlighten you on all of these matters and a whole lot more.

Saturday, September 22nd, The Good Neighbor Forum (GNF) will be held at Otero Jr. College Student Center, in La Junta, CO - set from 9 am to 4:30 pm.

In an informal workshop setting led by Chief Mark Trostel, knowledgeable local, regional and national spokespersons will thoroughly address such hot topics as the proposed Pinon Canyon maneuver site expansion.

Other states in the U.S. are following "Pinon Canyon vs U.S. Army" closely, in hopes they will be able to learn how to circumvent such in their state.

Jim Beers, International expert on E.S.A., and retired wildlife biologist from Virginia, will discuss a new proposal to manage expansion of Dept. of Defense lands in an open and controllable fashion. This new plan will show hope and promise to the local economies in Southeast Colorado as well as the ranchers and farmers.

By spending their Saturday at GNF, our local, state and federal elected officials will be enriched with applicable means by which the Pinon Canyon, and these other critical matters - can be resolved fairly.

As servants of our community, state and country, you can no longer stand idle while property value is demolished, properties are taken off the tax rolls, schools and county services suffer, families are destroyed and roads, churches, clubs, banks and other businesses close. You must take a side.

Many other issues, including Water, Animal ID and Endangered Species will addressed thoroughly, and Dr. Corey Ciocchetti will define "what makes up a Good Neighbor."

NOTICE to students from any College and University!

You’ll definitely want to hear Dr. Corey Ciocchetti, who will speak at 2:00 pm. So show your Student I.D. at the door, and you will be allowed to attend after 1:30 pm - for free!

We welcome any press with a pass. If you’d like lunch we’d appreciate an RSVP and a gratuity for the cooks. Thank you.
