To Colorado Ag Commissioner Stulp

Please read this remarkable letter from Dorothy Phelps.

The Greeley Tribune is running an exceptionally clear 3 part water series column by Gene Kammerzell.

I pray each of Governor Ritter's Water Task Force member studies them thoroughly.

Back in the 80's, my Catholic Priest and Methodist Minister  friends spent thousands of hours counseling farm families whose loved ones succumbed to suicide when the feds and banks backed them into a box canyon.

When politics and greed are allowed to displace sound science, all of hell bursts forth.

Please take heed.  We need not repeat those tragedies today.

The offer of Sylvester-Platte River tour stands.

Thank you,

Roni Bell Sylvester
ps. Consumers love Farmers Markets. Let's make sure locally grown food is here to stay!

Roni,

Yours is a strong and powerful message.  Listeners and readers take heed.

Oh yes, the 80's found my hard working neighbors and fellow agri-business owners forced into farm/ranch auctions, even several committing suicide all around the Okie Ranch.   That was a desperate time that will certainly be repeated if the greenies continue their ill guided regulatory takings and anti-ag urbanization policies.

The ultimate insurance against chaos and conflict is a well fed nation with ample water resources  Any other policy will surely promote anarchy and economic decline.
