Subject: A lady worthy of emulation

This comes from a lady who's youngest child died while her land and water use rights were being stripped by President Clinton's monument designation- "Canyon of the Ancients."

Given what she's been dealt, it'd probably be easy for her to succumb ( Like so many are doing.) to the "posse comitatus" mentality (one of being radical, secretive, militant).

Instead, this little wisp of a lady continues to stand tall with the likes of President Reagan when he stated to General Secretary Gorbachev, * "General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization: Come here to this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!"
With compassion she keeps "plugging" ...walking outside her personal tragedies to help save land and water rights.
Naomi works with everyone, regardless their profession. Nudging along "peace - prosperity and liberalization" for all, she is truly the essence of a Good Neighbor. Thank you Naomi. Editor GNF

Dear Roni,

Haven't done much of this for awhile, but thought this (NLCS) was important enough to send on. We're still in the same place, don't have many cattle anymore. BUT, we're still adjacent to the Canyon of the Ancients and have family members who still have private property within the monument. NLCS consists of major conservation areas in 12 western states. The beat goes on and it's beating up America! These are tough economic times for a lot of people and locking these lands up more will only HURT the American citizens who will be affected by this. Don't know what I can do to help, but I will do what I can. Thanks for the reply. How are things going with you all? I've been sort of disconnected with a lot of things for awhile, but feel I should plug in and keep plugging. You take care.
