Abstracts and Water...
A Tip from Land And Water USA

Check your abstract! If it address a "seepage" ditch (Many ditches were developed in the late 1800's to "drain" unproductive cattail infested land and convert land into productive Ag land...This is not to be confused with an "irrigation" ditch.), study the defines.

Abstract could have language that defines XX acre feet limits, your ablity to use the water as seepage ditch runs through your "land," and should define exactly what ditch may carry - such as "waste/seepage/tail."
Check to see if there are any violations outside the defines of seepage specificity.

Example: Should you find any entity is "dumping" over the XX acre feet and materials outside defines, you have the right to file a "Cease and Desist" (Injunction) against said entity.

Should you work out an agreement with entity to use your seepage ditch outside Abstract defines, "Charge them!" Plus, don't forget to create the daily diary (get their pumping augmentation records) and charge them rent for each day they committed a transfer - don't walk away without billing them for every hour they used it.
