Miss Brunson approached Land And Water USA (LAW) requesting opportunity to 'intern.' Although LAW works with Contributing Educators throughout the world, its hands on operation is a local *Mom and Pop setup that's never considered a secretary- much less an intern.
But, Miss Brunson persisted. After an enthusiastic eye to eye meeting, we agreed Elaine, along with her bubbly youth, editing, and writing skills, could take LAW to the new fresh levels Mom and Pop wanted, but had no idea how to get there!

Here's what Elaine has to say about her new adventure with LAW USA.

Hello everyone! This is Elaine Brunson, much honored to be the first 'intern' of LAW USA. I came here to hunt for some experience in my (desired) future field, editing, before I head off to college in Iowa this fall. I am ecstatic to get this opportunity to help in the transition of updating the website and maybe even doing some editing of pieces that are submitted. Being a local from Platteville and having dealt with some of the land and water issues being discussed on LAW USA, I find the content very relatable, interesting, and a must-read for news on those subjects. I look forward to contributing in any way I can and having a great internship!

LAW does not give legal advice; it instead relies on experts who intimately understand and know how to implement our Constitutions (State and U.S.), statutes and case law.

Needing flexibility to plain speak without risk of loosing tax exempt status, LAW USA is a Colorado for-profit Limited Liability Corporation (LLC) instead of a non-profit.

Because federal grant money comes from hard-working taxpayers, and with strings attached and crippling consequences, it is our policy to neither solicit or take when offered!

We are very proud of our Contributing Educators who generously volunteer their research, writings, time and talent with the common goal of providing people with verifiable information. Their honest work has contributed to LAW's becoming the "go to" place by state and U.S. elected officials who want that solid foundation of plain-speak!

In addition to editing and writing, Elaine Brunson will be an integral part of setting up a new 'subscribership' form, so you'll get Land And Water USA in your mailbox weekly and when there's Breaking News.
