Let Them Eat Cake

Wudzinski entered a guilty plea to shooting a radio-collared wolf while deer hunting. A wildlife biologist with the Department of Natural Resources was patrolling in an airplane, tracking radio collar signals on wolves that day, when the collar on the wolf went into mortality mode.

MDNR conservation officers were able to locate the carcass of the animal and conduct an investigation, which led to the arrest of Wudzinski, who entered the guilty plea to one count of taking a protected animal.

Wudzinski paid $2,150 in fines, costs and restitution, was placed on probation for nine months and lost his hunting privileges for the remainder of 2007, the DNR said."

Case #2
"In a separate case before Judge Michael Kusz in Iron Mountain (Michigan), William Jason Morgan, 28, of Iron Mountain, was convicted of shooting the wolf near Felch. DNR conservation officers were also able to recover that animal and after evaluating evidence left at the scene of the shooting, arrested Morgan.

On April 11, Morgan was ordered to pay $2,385 in fines, costs and restitution, lost his hunting privileges through 2010 and was placed on six months probation, according to the DNR. He was also sentenced to participate in the county's tether program for 30 days, confined to work and his residence only during that time period.'

"Camden, N.J. - An emotional Gov. John Corzine was discharged from a hospital Monday and begged forgiveness for not wearing a seat belt during a crash 18 days earlier in which he sustained critical injuries."

Case #4
"An aide to Virginia (US) Senator Jim Webb who carried a loaded handgun into a Senate office building was a free man Friday afternoon after prosecutors decided to drop weapons charges against him.

Phillip Thompson was arrested March 26 after he put a bag on an X-ray belt at the Russell Senate Office building. The X-ray showed that the bag held a loaded pistol and two fully loaded magazines.

In an e-mail released late Friday, U.S. Attorney Jeffrey Taylor said that his office wouldn't pursue charges against Thompson.

'We do not believe the essential elements of the crime of carrying a pistol without a license can be proved beyond a reasonable doubt', the e-mail said.

After the arrest, Webb denied reports that he handed Thompson the bag that held the handgun. But he wouldn't say the gun was his.

'We are required to defend ourselves', Webb said. 'And I choose to do so.'

Webb is one of the rising stars of the Democrat Party who sits on several powerful committees in the Senate. The Democrats are mounting a campaign against Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, who supervises all U.S. Attorney's offices."

Unjust Laws + Preferential Enforcement + Preferential Prosecution = INJUSTICE

My admiration and prayers go out for the two Michigan men that did exactly what patriots and heroes have done for ages; THE RIGHT THING. The wolves are foisted on unwilling rural communities by an unjust law (the Endangered Species Act); by a federal government that is not only becoming corrupt (keep reading) but one that is pandering to radical environmental and animal rights forces bent on destroying our society; and State governments that have bent to and acquiesced in the growth of Federal power at the expense of our rights and the US Constitution. Those wolves are destroying hunting (killing big game and dogs used for hunting), killing watchdogs and pets, spreading disease, killing livestock and horses, and making rural life dangerous for children, the aged, and even unarmed hikers and campers. The Federal government has been made free of all the harms being perpetrated by those wolves they foist on us, as the State governments are made sterile by their timidity and lust for money and shared power while local governments salute. Meanwhile these hunters face law enforcement forces trained for terrorism response if they question Federal authority. Radio collars, airplanes, $200,000 plus per year Federal agent costs, and advanced technology are concentrated on a Michigan deer hunt while illegal aliens pour over the southern border like, well, illegal aliens.

So ex-US Senator and now Governor Corzine "begged forgiveness for not wearing a SEAT BELT"! How absurd and PC is that? The NJ State Police told us for days that the wreck on this heavily-used (and tightly patrolled) Turnpike was caused by an "Aggressive Driver". Then when they couldn't find some poor "slob" to blame it on, it comes out that the Governor was being driven at 90+ miles per hour for a photo-op with Imus and the New Jersey basketball ladies. The (NJ State Policeman) driver was reportedly on his cell phone as the traffic scattered before them like flightless quail before a hawk or cat. Governor you are the boss of all NJ State Police. You appoint and can fire their Chief at a drop of a hat (like the President and US Attorneys?). That driver was only doing what you wanted and condoned. (They explained to me in Naval Officer School that SOPA stood for Senior Officer Present Afloat: so whether in a Naval formation at sea or drunk and passed out on the deck of a returning liberty boat, the Senior Officer present was responsible for anything and everything that took place and if he failed to take action, he was subject to a Court-Martial.) Governor (and ex-Senator) Corzine you were SOPA. You condoned and obviously directed this endangerment of others and these gross violations of New Jersey laws. This is especially ironic in a law-crazy state like New Jersey where bears are worshipped, traps are banned, and guns are all but prohibited! You have SO MUCH MORE THAN "NOT WEARING A SEAT BELT" to answer for that it is truly criminal that you are not only not being charged but that you are allowed to treat us all as fools by diverting us to your sorrow for this trivia that is as phony and immaterial as the tales of Mao Tse Tung's invincibility or ancient myths of The Origin and Justification for Royal Privileges.

Last but not least, there is my (Virginia) newest US Senator to confirm in spades every negative thing I have written about corrupt US Senators in the past years.

Hold your nose as I mention all the corruption going on here:

The Senator, while registered as the owner of the gun, "wouldn't say if the gun was his."

The owner of the gun (Senator Webb) is the employer of the gun carrier, his aide that carried the gun and placed it on the belt.

We are told this is excusable due to "the chaos of packing three cars".

The US Senator claims he does not have Secret Service protection so he "chooses" to "defend" himself. One is forced to ask in these circumstances with what or how? I too "choose" to "defend" myself and have a VIRGINIA concealed weapons permit like the good Senator. I was never able to carry my gun in DC as I worked late hours years ago and if they caught me doing so today (either in DC or "UP ON 'THE HILL", i.e. the Congress) can I now claim "Chaos" when I packed, or skate if I "wouldn't say the gun was" mine?

The US Attorney drops charges against the aide (in an e-mail of all places) because the US Attorney does "not believe the elements of the crime of carrying a pistol without a license can be proved beyond a reasonable doubt". DUH! Where is Alberto Gonzales and his dismissal papers when we need him? He drops a loaded handgun with loaded magazines on an X-ray belt in a US Senate Building that can only be reached by driving through the District of Columbia and it "can't be proved beyond a reasonable doubt"? A "LICENSE" from whom? The Senate? Washington, DC? Neither would issue a "License" and what about the prima facie fact that he had to transmit it ACROSS THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA where guns are strictly prohibited (I have to drive AROUND DC to go duck hunting on the Eastern Shore because a DC officer could arrest me for even a shotgun if I stopped to eat or had an accident or he pulled me over because my hunting gear might suggest gun possession)!

Forget the aristocratic preference for a moment. A guy drops a loaded handgun on a belt in a US Senate Office Building and a US Attorney says he does "not believe the elements of the crime of carrying a pistol without a license can be proved beyond a reasonable doubt": this while aircraft, agents, and technology claimed by many to be unfair to Middle East Terrorists "proves" that two Michiganders that only want to live in peace and protect their rural way of life and pets and hunting are tried and convicted? If I was caught doing what the good Senator and his aide did: you can bet I would be tried by a Federal Court for violating Federal Senate regulations, District of Columbia laws, and be convicted in a heartbeat of a felony. That would mean not only prison time and a hefty fine and public approbation: I could no longer OWN or POSSESS a gun and therefore no longer hunt and even have my voting rights withdrawn unless "pardoned" by someone like Governor Corzine or President Clinton who pardoned many as he left office but not guys like me or the two Michiganders you can be sure.

Shame and disgust are the only words that come to mind. Do the Senators and their "aides" work to repeal these unjust laws? Of course not: since they do not have to fear their unjust and harmful effects. Do Michigan politicians and bureaucrats try to "save" rural Michiganders or their rights or the rights given the State of Michigan in the Constitution? Of course not, that would jeopardize getting elected to Congress someday or the possibility of Federal environmental grants or that big job with the US Fish and Wildlife Service for being so "cooperative".

This stuff is EXACTLY what we left behind after the American Revolution and the adoption of our Constitution. These unjust laws and preferential enforcement and selective prosecution were endemic in medieval Europe where Kings and nobles just kept trying people before the King's Court until they were convicted while nobles and their associates did as they would with impunity. English law history is replete for centuries with the recurring theme of Imperial claim to all rights and the inherent right to forgive the rich and powerful versus what our Founding Fathers described so eloquently when they said:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."

Not UNJUST POWERS and not with my consent is this government doing these things. There is no other way to say it.
