Subject: Restricting land through C.E's does not protect agriculture... by Volunteer Editor Roni Bell Sylvesterl

Dear Legacy Land Trust and West Greeley Conservation District,

Thank you for inviting Chuck and I to your November 3, 2011 to: "Earn money by protecting your working land: How conservation easements can save your family's farm or ranch."

We regret we won't be able to attend this particular seminar. We have though, sat in on many Conservation Easement seminars. In doing so, one critical point we've noticed lacking, is an offering of research which may be contraire to your offerings. To assure you offer your audience a fair and balanced picture, we encourage you to print off and make available copies of the following "Restricting land through...." Though done in 2003, it's still very timely.
You may also want to direct your audience to www.LandAndWaterUSA.com There they'll find a wealth of objective analysis on C.E's - including updates on the likely elimination of "perpetuity."

We're sure you'll agree that the only way a person can make an informed decision on anything, is to have all the facts; warts and all.

Thank you,
Roni Bell Sylvester
