LAW USA recently received the following question: "If a county is successful in developing a coordination plan. A plan that evens the playing field between the County, State and federal government. Allowing a county more authority in how a federal agency behaves within the community. What happens with federal funding such as schools, hospitals etc." Joe M. |
Dear Joe, Unfortunately - getting states "a little bit pregnant" is exactly how federal + agencies take control of our land and water; which is their end game… of course. As long as we continue to feed at their trough, they got us... Only when we grow backbone enough to refuse their $'s, will we be able to disengage from their clutches. Every day I learn of another in our industry (Agriculture) caving to government carrots, a.k.a. subsidies, which come in a multitude of creative forms including green energy (ethanol) grant $'s, CE's, Land Trusts. These are deliberate ways to keep us Aggies fractured (see US Cattlemen's, R-Calf, NCBA just in the beef biz alone), so they can "pick us off one by one." Coordination doesn't "level" the playing field. It instead "forces" federal to honor states’ rights. We have rights! States should be fearless in weaning themselves from "federal" funding. For after routing "bucks" through D.C. states we receive pennies. Their regulation costs on top of that, gives us a debit return on every buck we send to D.C. There's no way we who tell the truth, can ever compete with the learned liars in government and their non-government pals! Even if we were tutored to lie, we'll never catch up with their accomplished learned, practiced and applied skills. They're "gaming" us Joe. Some of us think we can hang with the big boys and play close to their fires. I've yet to witness one come out un-scathed. A couple years ago, a young man boasted, "I'm voting for Obama," because, "Obama's senatorial staff is nice." Well golly gee. I've never met a con-artist who wasn't nice. He, amongst thousands, didn't heed the words of the seasoned and wiser, and got crushed. Now that might have been OK, had he alone been crushed, but his naïve trust in Obama’s people un-fairly crushed others too. To answer your question, "Just do it!" If every county and its commissioners and town mayors would "coordinate" now...today...it would stop federal from overstepping. Which we must do anyway...if... we have any desire to be more than government's servants. This will be a tough go, for there are those county commissioners who, for a myriad of reasons (afraid, stupid, have been threatened, have taken the money, or are "plants"), fight Constitutional abiding commissioners (like Mack Louden in S.E. Colorado). As incredulous as it may seem, some county commissioners actually “sign up” with such property seizing monsters as ICLEI and Agenda 21, or try to sell the water in their county. Think of it this way Joe: Would you allow anyone to drive semi-tractors and pups all over your just irrigated corn field, knowing they would leave massive ruts, ruin a major portion of your crop, and leave you with the cost of smoothing the ruts, re-tilling, planting, crop loss and the suit they filed against you claiming they had the "right" to ruin your land? No. Yet this is what we allow "individuals" in government agencies to do to us over and over... Some examples: Individual employees with the Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Interior consistently dole out citations against property owners that are riff with error. Sometimes they do so because they're stupid. But most times, they cite property owners because their arbitrary, Constitutional and law breaking citations and penalties have borne out effective ways to personally destroy property owners, and thereon seize their property. If this happens to you, immediately refer to your state and U.S. Constitutions, point out each error clearly and demand they correct them! File your response with your states’ AG (they should investigate), and send notarized copies certified to said individuals, your county commissioners, the appropriate agencies, and U.S. Dept.'s of Justice. The main purpose for government is to “protect” the rights of private property owners. Governments have instead, completely flipped inside out forcing us to protect ourselves from them. As a U.S. Citizen, you have a duty to turn governments’ right side out. So get to know your Constitutional rights, and stand your ground! Volunteer Editor LAW USA |
