Fermentation, Fomentation and Spontaneous Combustion

A farmer cuts his hay too early in the season, doesn't allow it to dry properly, bails it and then stacks it in his barn. If the hay has a moisture content above 22%, a process called fermentation (a chemical reaction) takes over and starts raising the temperature deep inside the hay bail. Because the heat has no where to go, it continues to rise. Eventually, the fermenting hay reaches a certain temperature and erupts into flame by spontaneous combustion and the farmer loses his hay crop, the barn and perhaps any livestock or farm machinery in the barn as well. There are many examples of spontaneous combustion resulting from fermentation or oxidation. But the worst kind of spontaneous combustion comes from fomentation. Take a unstable mix of religious fanaticism, the unrelenting hot sun, sand, wind, hunger and hate, then add a few pounds of explosive fomentation by unspeakable acts of terror and an entire region can erupt into war. A small regional war can cascade from country to country until the whole world is at war. It has happened before. While the United Nations and radical environmental groups go on an insane rampage over man-caused global warming, the results of which may or may not occur in decades, if not centuries, an unstable brew of mass hysteria and collective religious insanity is fermenting in the middle east that could lead the entire human race into a here-and-now Armageddon. The assassination of Benazir Bhutto could very easily be the spark that triggers spontaneous combustion in an entire race of Muslims, where only mobs and hate rule and chaos reigns. Give the mobs a nuclear weapon and the potential for devastating World War rises exponentially. In such event, the great looming crisis of global warming will assume all the priority of a flea on the rump of an elephant and the United Nations will become as ineffective in handling the threat of a third World War as it handled Saddam Hussein with 17 failed resolutions. So you may ask, what does the spontaneous combustion of the middle east have to do with property rights in rural America? Just about everything. One of our government's major obligations is to defend America from all enemies, foreign and domestic. To stop a couple of mad men, Germany's Hitler and Japan's Togo, took millions of American men and women, an unthinkable death toll and a war machine the likes of which has never been seen before. The loss in property and lives has never been equaled in all of human history. The cost of reconstruction beyond the imagination. But World War II was about fairly educated insanity. The German people, under Hitler, were highly educated, intelligent and resourceful. They were further motivated by a belief in being the superior race, Homeland pride, and the meteoric re-building of that pride, out of the humiliating defeat in World War I and the military constraints of the Versai treaty. But the threat of Islamo-Fascism is not educated insanity. It is fanatical insanity based on wild interpretations of the writings and philosophy of one man from 1,500 years ago, who decreed that a man can have no more than four wives, but he had 10. A man who wrote that anyone not a Muslim must be annihilated in a Jihad, or holy war. Muslims in the middle east, by and large, are tribal. Society in the tribal community is usually based on a close nit group of families, ruled by one man, or an elder. That one man is the law, the judge, the jury and the executioner. In many cases its foundation is religious law or undefinable mysticism. It is a mindset, ingrained in the culture from birth to death. The only thing that this type of mindset understands, is a force greater. To them, appeasement is a sign of weakness. Turn the other cheek and watch your head be severed from your neck. Muslims in the middle east are dirt poor, most live in war-torn squalor, many face daily hunger, a large percentage are uneducated and easily manipulated by religious propaganda. If there were just a few Muslims, it would be of no significance. But out of 1.2 Billion Muslims in the world today, it has been estimated that at least 5% to 10% believe in fanatical Islam. That percentage relates to 60,000,000 to 120,000,000 people worldwide, who are only bound by their mutual religious fanaticism and their hate of the west. They don't wear uniforms and they look like every other Muslim. It is almost impossible to tell them apart. In short, it is very difficult to adequately identify the enemy so that you can confront it. Waging war on this type of enemy, whose only weapon is hit-and-run mass urban terror, comes at a terrible price. A price we are paying now, but a price that we have to pay, if we are to defend and maintain American sovereignty and our way of life. If the middle east spontaneously combusts and the flame of their hate spills over into the United States with weapons of mass destruction, in all likelihood the U. S. Constitution will be suspended by our government in order to meet the threat. Marshall law will be imposed. The government already has that authority. Surveillance will be high, privacy will be nil, the luxuries we take for granted will be confiscated and property and all other individual rights will be taken away. So the hard, cold reality is that, we either meet this threat at its source, or pay the consequences for our inaction. The consequences and the price will be high. One of the ways to meet that threat is to have a massive military presence at the source so that any group, faction or country could face a death blow for any out-of-border adventurism. A superior force is the only thing fanaticism understands. If we do not have the resolve to decisively confront and vanquish this foreign enemy; if we do not close our borders and remove the magnets to illegal immigration; if we refuse to make the hard choices on reining in our run-away entitlement programs; if we will not return to the foundation of our freedom, the U. S. Constitution; America, the last great hope for civilization, will be rendered impotent and it will be so rendered from within. For those who cannot see these geopolitical and economic realities, their heads are firmly buried in the sand.
