Honor Flight
Have you heard about Honor Flights? If not, please, listen up! Then get involved!
Recently, we joined retired Army Colonel Stan Cass, to watch the movie "Honor Flight." We came away so moved, that we agreed LAW USA needs to highlight every effort that Honors our Soldier Heroes.
Our Soldier Heroes are sons and daughters, aunts and uncles, husbands and wives, cousins, neighbors, the gentleman who sacks your groceries, the lady – though confined to wheelchair – lifts her shaky arm to forehead in salute to her fellow soldiers; individuals who sacrificed so much, to stay your freedoms and liberties.
Nearly every state in America has Honor Flight volunteers who Honor Our Veterans by providing flights to War Memorials.
It’s a small tribute to our Veterans – who have given so much - to keep you and I safe.
Retired Army Colonel Stan Cass founded the Honor Flight Northern Colorado (HFNC) in 2008. Colonel Cass graduated from West Point in 1957, served two tours in the Vietnam War as a helicopter pilot and retired from the Army as colonel in 1986.
Honor Flight Northern Colorado organizes two flights and trips per year to take our armed forces heroes to Washington, D.C., so they may visit and reflect at their memorials.
As of 2012, HFNC has taken 895 veterans of World War II and 175 veterans of the Korean War, or Purple Heart recipients from any war, to the site of their memorials.
Survivors of World War II and terminally ill veterans are given top priority.
Please check out their websites, find a theater where “Honor Flight” is shown, and go see it!
