It's been a while since our last update, so we have several important news items to share. COALITION SUPPORT CONTINUES TO GROW We're very pleased to announce that the Village of Hatch unanimously passed Resolution 732 on March 3, 2008, endorsing the Dona Ana County Planned Growth, Open Space and Rangeland Preservation Act - "The People's Proposal". The Hatch Valley Chamber of Commerce also voted to endorse The People's Proposal at their February 14, 2008 meeting. The Hispanic Farmers and Ranchers of America and Mesilla Valley Cow Belles also came forward with endorsements from their respective organizations. We welcome these new organizations to our Coalition and we appreciate the strong show of support. Our Coalition has now passed 700 organizations and businesses! WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please help us spread the word to businesses and organizations, and ask them to help support this important initiative. Numbers are one of the indications of a strong base of support, and we intend to continue with our dedication and efforts to increase our Coalition. ZACK TAYLOR RADIO INTERVIEW Roger Hedgecock, San Diego KOGO radio talk show host interviews Zack Taylor, retired Border Patrol officer, on his radio program, discussing the proposed Tumacacori Highlands Wilderness designation (HR 3287 & 2593) and how it would affect fire fighting efforts and hamper the Border Patrol efforts to stop drug smuggling, human smuggling, and terrorist activity on our borders.
