After being evacuated from her home for a week while the High Park Fire raged, Stacy Lynne was notified today that her home (and her mother's a short distance away) is still standing.
It's difficult to call it a miracle after 181 families did lose their homes. If you look at the fire map, her home is in the fire area, yet today she found out that a small strip of land where her home sits DID NOT BURN! That kind of makes it hard to not call it a miracle!
Stacy told us, "I am grateful and amazed. But it is difficult to celebrate while so many others are finding out that their homes did not survive. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who has lost their home."
Stacy was told that it will probably be at least two weeks before they will be allowed back into the canyon to go see their homes.
