On 9/13/12 I was in court room 3B in the Larimer County Justice Center and witnessed a hearing concerning Stacey Lynn’s attempt to get her son, Jaden, back after he was illegally removed from her care and from their home. Judge Julie Field was allowing opening statements to take place. Stacey was allowed to approach the bench and serve Judge Field with an emergency order that she filed with the court that would nullify the previous decision by Judge Field. While Stacey was reading the emergency order to get it on the court record Judge Field repeatedly interrupted Stacey. Stacey repeatedly told Judge Field she wanted to read the entire order into the public record and gave several case sites to establish her legal right to do so. Judge Field ignored this request and was arguing with Stacey to go onto the subject of child support. After 5 minutes of Judge Field denying Stacey the opportunity to read her order into the court record Mr. Steve Byfield stood in the back row of the courtroom and stated he wanted order to be restored in the court. Larimer County Sheriff’s Officer Ryan Berg was directed by Judge Field to remove the Mr. Byfield from the courtroom. Officer Berg walked over to Mr. Byfield and grabbed his arm to drag him from the courtroom. Two men in the front of the courtroom stood and demanded that Judge Field allow Stacey to finish her reading of the emergency order into the record. Judge Field stood up to leave the courtroom and the two men firmly said to her that she was committing treason by her handling of the Stacey Lynn case. Judge Field left the courtroom through a door on the north side of the courtroom back into the judges’ quarters. The court reporter and another lady employed by Larimer County left through the same door. Jeff Pappenheim, Jaden’s biological father, and his attorney also left the courtroom through the same door. Stacey Lynn stood by her table and did not say a word or move from her table. At no time was there a fight or any violence initiated by the observers in the courtroom. Six more Larimer County Sheriffs Deputies then entered the courtroom and Officer Ryan Berg ordered that the courtroom be emptied. Everyone calmly walked out the west doors of the courtroom. Approximately 30 people were quietly standing outside the courtroom. Officer Ryan Berg then ordered all of the people standing in the halls outside courtroom 3B to leave the third floor as he stated the other courtrooms were being disturbed by the people standing quietly in the hall. He stated if anyone did not leave they would be arrested and jailed for disorderly conduct. I walked to the elevator with all the other people and everyone left the third floor. No one argued with the Larimer County Deputies but they were talking to them about the injustice that was occurring to Stacey and her son Jaden. As I reached the first floor I sat down on a bench with Air Force Colonel Tom Niichel. We were sitting quietly on the bench not talking. Other people were talking to the deputies. No one was acting in a violent or aggressive manner. Office Ryan Berg then ordered everyone to leave the Justice Center. Colonel Niichel calmly told Officer Berg that we had complied with his order to leave the third floor courtroom area and that we were in a public vestibule on the first floor and it was legal for us to be there. Officer Berg then left the Justice Center. We sat quietly and talked to several Larimer County deputies concerning the Stacey Lynn case, about the way it was being handled and about the U.S. Constitution. Colonel Niichel and I then left the Justice Center. Outside the Larimer County Justice Center I talked to Arlene Samuelson who told me her son went to school with Jaden. Mrs. Samuelson stated that Stacey Lynn is an excellent mother and parent and had always taken very good care of Jaden. I want to re-iterate that at no time did I observe any of the citizens that were in courtroom 3B act in a violent or aggressive manner. Respectfully submitted,
