Friday, January 4, 2013 Stacy Lynne had a Contempt Hearing regarding the CFI (Child and Family Investigator) fees she was ordered to pay. (If you will remember, neither Stacy or Jaden ever received any services of the Court Appointed CFI) The Petitioner was requesting a finding of Punitive and Remedial Contempt which could have resulted in Stacy Lynne being sentenced to jail time.. It happens to parents all the time when they can't pay the Dog and Pony Show called Family Court. The magistrate ruled that the Petitioner did not prove that Stacy had the ability to pay or that she was willfully refusing to pay. Furthermore, the magistrate also set aside a January 14 hearing that was to address the Contempt Charges for the Petitioner's attorney's fees and vacated that Judgement. The result of these rulings is that Stacy Lynne no longer has the threat of serious jail time hanging over her head and she can focus on her efforts to get Jaden back home. where he belongs. To be honest, I could hardly believe my ears were hearing correctly. Personally, I believe this is hugely important and could possibly portend a turning of the tide. I want everyone to know that their efforts in passing along Stacy's Story has made a difference. Your support of Stacy has kept her going. From the bottom of my heart: THANK YOU. Stacy has repeatedly said that she has gained the strength for this battle from all of us. Today, in a small way, Justice was done. We wait, with humble hearts, continued prayers and unrelenting vigilance to see Jaden returned to his mom.
