Urgent action needed! Take Back Colorado
Letter Writing Campaign

Hello Coalition Members and CICA Members,

The Coalition is asking you to participate in an opportunity to overturn the state fair rule mandating 4-H and FFA youth to have a premises registration. The Colorado State Fair Board has not been following their own rules in the Administrative Procedures Act. Letters need to be written from everywhere questioning their authority. We are asking you to write ONE letter and make 14 copies of that letter and mail them, or in some cases you may e-mail them. One of the copies needs to be sent to us at the Coalition, you'll see the address attached. We have to stand up for what is right for the children of Colorado and the United States. Please, take time, write a letter, can be hand written and then go make copies and send out to the addresses that follow this sample letter.

Please include how upset you are with the State Fair Board, using our children to get their numbers of premises registrations that the Colo. Dept. of Ag. needs. Also include who you are and what you do for a living. Keep it simple, but get the message across. Thank you for doing this and for fighting for our freedoms.

Sample letter to follow:

Dear Colorado State Fair Board Commissioners:

I am very concerned about your rule-making process with respect to mandating premises identification in the NAIS on children in order to participate at the Colorado State Fair. I feel that FFA and 4-H children are being unfairly singled out. If parents of 4-H and FFA children do not want to register their property as a premises, their children suffer.

Pursuant to Title 24, Article 4 of the Colorado Revised Statutes, also known as the State Administrative Procedure Act (the Act), I am requesting notification of all proposed rule-making by the Colorado State Fair Authority. Please advise me of any fees your agency may set based on your actual cost of copying and mailing your proposed rules to me and I will submit the fee required by the Act. If you do not request any fees of me to receive notices of any proposed rule-making, I will assume that you have waived the fee requirement and that you will still be notifying me of any proposed rule-making.
You may send your notices to the following address:

I am further requesting that you advise me of all rules that have been adopted and published pursuant to the Act by the State Fair Authority.
Sincerely,
