Thank you for allowing us to speak in behalf
Thank you for allowing me to say this am, "Speaking for my husband Chuck Sylvester - myself, and in behalf of all these good people here, please do not exploit our children." After working with young ag people most of his 70 years of life, Chuck is very, very sad about your premise ID mandates on children. He lets everyone know this has nothing to do with disease control, and everything to do with "exploiting our children!" Chuck would have been there today - but ranching demands kept him in Wyoming. After listening to the heartfelt stories by good, honest, hardworking ag people, we sincerely pray you'll do the right thing, and drop this entire premise ID idea now. Our agricultural community is having a tough enough time dealing with choking regulations, mandates, the ESA, conservation easements, an extremely un-friendly government, mother nature and more. Today, I overheard someone say, "My God. What about all that security we had to go through! Remember when the Department of Agriculture was our friend with big open arms!" The Colorado State Fair has always held promise of a happy time full of learning, honesty and fun challenges. Please don't take away that hard earned respite. The fair struggles enough to stay vital. It doesn't need to unnecessarily add more struggles. Please read again our following submission, "Children in livestock world fact threat of exploitation." Thank you,
