ITSSD Commences Internship Program With
Whitehead School of Diplomacy

Contact: Mr. Lawrence Kogan   http://www.ITSSD.org

ITSSD welcomes Students to apply for a unique internship. One of the program's intended purposes is to focus policymakers on the need to recognize that America cannot remain isolationist forever. That leaves only one option: to reform the UN and the international system once again in the model of American free-markets and constitutional law, to the extent possible, in order to ensure international peace and security via free trade, continuous innovation and economic growth.  That is why we at the ITSSD spend so much time researching, analyzing and getting the word out to government officials, industry and the grassroots about the importance of private property rights, the rule of law, due process, good governance, balance of powers and the role served by best available science and economic cost-benefit analysis in the public risk evaluation process. Most importantly, it is critical to educate young people about these matters, which is the primary purpose of our new internship program.

PRINCETON, N.J., June 7 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Institute for Trade, Standards and Sustainable Development (ITSSD) is proud to announce the commencement this summer of a student internship program with Seton Hall University's John C. Whitehead School of Diplomacy and International Relations.

The ITSSD is a non-partisan, non-profit legal research and educational organization that examines international laws and policies relating to trade, industry and positive sustainable development around the world. The Whitehead School, located in South Orange, N.J., offers graduate and undergraduate students a world-class education in international affairs
that combines a cutting-edge curriculum with a deep understanding of global issues and essential real world experience. Whitehead School students benefit from the school's unique relationship with the United Nations Association of the USA, the broader UN community, and its proximity to New York City.

"We were thrilled when the Whitehead School asked us to develop and internship program that would facilitate the sharing of our real world knowledge and experience with their students", says ITSSD President and CEO, Lawrence Kogan. Kogan noted how the ITSSD and its Advisory Board have been working diligently during the past few years to establish the organization as an international resource on trade, science and technology-related regulatory issues. "Earlier this year, the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific referenced our organization as an 'information source on trade and [the] environment' and designated the ITSSD website as a 'selected worldwide website' ... Now, a well-respected university's international relations program with close ties to the United Nations has recognized our efforts and wishes to collaborate
with us for the benefit of its students. This is certainly an auspicious occasion for the ITSSD, and it speaks positively about our future prospects," emphasized Kogan.

According to Elisa Varon, Director for Internships and Career Development at the Whitehead School, "It made perfect sense for us to reach out to an NGO that is serving the global community by helping to educate policymakers and the public about important evolving issues in international affairs. This collaboration is especially meaningful to us since several ITSSD personnel and Advisory Board members have either taught or taken classes at the Whitehead School. We therefore look forward to a rewarding and productive relationship with them."
