Aspen, Horse killer wolf pack, Kill Again

Last January the Aspen wolf pack was confirmed to have killed a thirteen year old saddle horse at the Link hunting cabin just north of the wilderness in southern Catron county New Mexico.

Since that kill the pack of around seven individual animals, has split up into two different groups one has taken on a new alpha male with a history of multiple livestock kills and settled into Sierra County on the Diamond ranch. The pack of three includes the new alpha male M 863 the alpha female F 667, involved in the attack on the horse and a yearling female f 1038, also involved in the horse attack.

The three wolves have denned to raise a litter of pups on the west end of Sierra County and are localizing on private land and using the Diamonds grazing allotment as a feeding grounds in both Sierra and Catron counties. ..
