I had a thought that you may get a kick out of: As I was trying to get the afterbirth off my boots and the iodine out of the cracks of my dry fingers, I realized there's only a very remote possibility that any of my friends are living vicariously through me. Time to get new friends?? Ha!

Heifer Tale 2/3/08
Yesterday morning, I was at the far end of the cow pasture, giving one of my heifers a back-scratch. Soon, without much warning, I saw out of the corner of my eye, a black furry thing sliding towards me, in a cloud of powdery snow. Apparently, my other heifer felt left out on the attention-getting and decided to run over to be included. She must have hit her brakes within a few feet of her herd mate and me.
